All entrees come with antipasto style salad and garlic knots. Any entree that is not pasta is served with a side dish of cheese risotto, vegetable or pasta with aglio olio or marinara.

The Great Impasta, which opened in October 1984, is the product of founder Alisa Coffin's love of Italian food. While attending the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York, her chef instructor said, "If you ever open an Italian restaurant, I have a great name for you - The Great Impasta."
