The Great Impasta is located on beautiful Maine Street in Brunswick, Maine - just up the road from Bowdoin College and 30 minutes north of Portland. When entering the restaurant you will be welcomed with the smells of Italy. A lovely Italian mural is painted all along the wall with seating in booths and tables.

The Great Impasta Italian Restaurant opened it's doors in October of 1984, by owner Alisa Coffin. Although she was only 24 at the time, she had already spent 10 years in the restaurant business, first working for her father, Jack Baker, in his small chain of seafood restaurants, then receiving formal training at The Culinary Institute of America.

The Great Impasta Italian Restaurant in Brunswick Maine is blessed to have an excellent staff - many of whom have been with us for years. Our staff even includes three sets of mothers...then 20 some years later - their daughters!
